Andrei’s Country – a Petrom project – attracted over 400 pupils from 9 Romanian counties
400 pupils from 9 Romanian counties (Bacau, Giurgiu, Dolj, Gorj, Arges, Valcea, Timiş, Prahova and Buzau) became responsible citizens in Andrei’s Country’s camp, that took place between July 22nd – August 25th, in Tarlungeni (Brasov county). The participation of the young volunteers to the camp was a form of awarding them for the projects they came up with during Andrei’s School competition, projects that aimed to solve problems in each of their communities and to be a funding source for their schools.
During the 6 days camp, the participants had a program rich in educative and attractive activities, learning also which are the main stages and the needed instruments to plan and develop prohects.
The kids that participated to Andrei’s Country camp had the opportunity to live an unique experience and showed us they are responsible, very talented and have the potential to become leaders in the communities they are coming from. The 5th edition of Andrei’s Country camp is a continuation of Petrom’s promise that it will invest in supporting the Romanian educational system, with the company continuing its over Euro 300,000 investment given as prizes to the winners of Andrei’s School

During the camp perios, 35 teachers that entered projects in Andrei’s School program participated to project management and online communication trainings; the specially tailored program offered to the teachers new data on how to conceive and develop a project and info on the way they can integrate in school activities the online communication methods.
This year, Andrei’s School and Camp were supported by Romanian Education, Research and Youth Ministry.
