A Romanian, awarded accolades at Creative Arts Emmy Awards

Romanian Dragos Stanomir received an Creative Arts Emmy Award, during the gala organized in Los Angeles on Saturday night, for “the best sound mix for a TV series”, with the mini-series “Hatfields & McCoys”, produced in Romania by History Channel and Castel Film, Mediafax writes.

“Hatfields & McCoys” won another 2 trophies at Creative Arts Emmy:  “best make-up in a TV mini-series” and “outstanding single camera picture editing for a miniseries or a movie”

The same miniseries has 16 nominations for Primetime Emmy 2012, to be awarded on September 23rd, including 3 that involve Romanian cinema professionals: Serban Porupca (Outstanding Art Direction For A Miniseries Or Movie – together with John Vertrees, Derek Hill and  Sally Black), Adina Bucur (Outstanding Costumes For A Miniseries, Movie Or A Special- with Karri Hutchinson) and Dragos Stanomir (Outstanding Sound Mixing For A Comedy Or Drama Series).

“Hatfields & McCoys”, with Kevin Costner in the leading role, is produced by History Channel and integrally made in Romania, at Castel Film.  TV mini-series was a success in US, where the 1st  broadcasted episode on History Channel attracted 13.9M viewers.
