Online advertising investments increasing in US
Online advertising attracted more budgets in US in the 1st half of the year, according to most recent IAB Internet Advertising Revenue Report, according to a press release.
The study, realized by IAB and PwC, shows that companies and individuals spent approximately $12.1 billion on online advertising in the first half of the year, up 11.3% from the same period of last year.
Display attracted $4.4 bn,+16% compared to the same period of 2009.
Digital video continues to experience record growth, up 31 percent over first half 2009. Search advertising remains the largest percentage of overall interactive spend at 47%, representing more than $5.7 billion for the first six months of 2010, up 11.6 percent from the same period in 2009.
On the other hand,lead generation dropped from $728 million to $642 million while the spending for email advertising was $120 million.
