Gemius to continue measuring the internet audience in Turkey, after a pitch organized by IAB Turkey
Gemius, leading internet research agency in EMEA, won, last month, a pitch organized by IAB Turkey, being appointed again as the official internet audience measurement provider. Besides supplying the standard of measurement, Gemius aims, during its new 2 years term, to expand the Turkish study.
Gemius is present on Turkish market since 2009. Turkey is 2nd biggest market (after Russia) where Gemius operates; Turkey has 26.3M internet users, while internet’s penetration level was, in December 2012, of 43.9%.
The study provided by Gemius in cooperation with Ipsos KMG is a standard officially accepted by IAB Turkey.
When it comes of developing the study, Gemius intends to introduce sites’ categorization and, later on, to officially implement multimedia materials as well as mobile websites measurement. Among the proposals submitted by Gemius to IAB Turkey there is also an innovation in the presentation of gemiusAudience results – publishing data in real time.
