Propaganda made an unusual promotion for a Romanian series that HBO will start broadcasting in December
A Romanian series that will be broadcasted, for the 1st time, on HBO in December, has in the main role Marcel Iures, the “bad guy” from quite a few international movies (Check IMDB.com to see which).
The series, called “În derivă”, was promoted unconventionally on the internet, with a special website in which the psychiatrist Andrei Poenaru was searching for the perfect balanced person. The site included a psychological test and a contest to designate the most balanced Romanian.
The whole online effort was aimed to promote the series, that will start on HBO on December 6th and that will be broadcasted Monday till Friday, starting 20.30.
The series distribution also include the Romanian actors Maria Dinulescu, Vlad Zamfirescu, Maria Mitu, Bogdan Dumitrache, Andreea Bibiri, Tamara Creţulescu and Gabriela Butuc. The directors are Adrian Sitaru and Titus Muntean, while the production was insured by Film Factor.
The launch of the series is also preceded by an unconventional campaign in a few Romanian towns, which is declined on outdoor and via unconventional posters.
For the launch campaign, HBO worked together with the Romanian independent advertising agency Propaganda, the winner of a pitch organized in July.
