World Press Photo – open for Romanian general public

The most important international photo-journalism exhibition, World Press Photo, was opened on Thursday for the Romanian public. The exhibition will be available until May 26th.

The official opening event is scheduled to take place on May 9th, during a gala event that will reunite personalities from cultural, social and politics world, both from Romania and from abroad.

This year, the exhibition also benefits from support from George Enescu International Festival.

The exhibition is an initiative of World Press Photo Foundation, founded in Netherlands in 1955 and that activates as an independent, non-profit organization and is headquartered in Amsterdam.
