European CSR Award designated its Romanian finalists
Coca-Cola HBC Romania and EcoRom Ambalaje won the 1st national edition of European CSR Award, pan-European competition that ran simultaneously in 28 countries. The finalists of the 2 categories in the contest – large companies and small companies – were announced during a special ceremony that took place at JW Marriott Bucharest. The 2 finalists will represent Romania at European CSR Award Ceremony, an event organized by European Commission in Bruxelles, on June 25th.
Besides the 2 Gold winners, the jury awarded 4 Silvers to Vodafone, Rompetrol, UPC and GolinHarris Romania and 9 excellency diplomas for projects nominated in the contest.
Adopt a river from its spring to its end is the promise that Coca-Cola Romania system took starting 2008, when we initiated a series of long term programs to insure protecting water resources, as a strategic priority for us. It is a complex CSR platform and its success was insured by a strategical approach, the support from strong partners and the involvement of important human and financial resources and, of course, a lot of perseverance and involvement. The award we received honors us and reconfirms the future belongs to companies that develop sustainable projects, strongly involved in the live of communities where they are active

Coordinated by CSR Europe and Business in the Community (BITC), the program was implemented in Romania by an unique consortium including 29 national CSR organizations. In Romania, the competition was organized by Forum for International Communications, via CSR Romania program.
The judging process took place between March 1st – April 20th.
European CSR Award is supported in Romania by Raiffeisen Bank, AVON and Ursus Breweries and the media partners Hotnews, Wall-Street, IQADS, Smark and PR Romania.
