mediaTrust: Most quoted Romanian media sources in May
Hotnews.ro, Realitatea TV and Antena 3 are the media sources most quoted in the print press in May, according to a mediaTrust report based on 438 materials referring to printed or on-line publications, radio and TV stations.
Hotnews.ro had 48 mentions, Realitatea TV – 35 and Antena 3 and rtv.net – 33 each. Sport.ro TV reached 11th position with 31 mentions, Pro TV ranked 6th with 29 mentions, followed by B1 TV – 23 mentions and Ziare.com – 21 mentions.
Romania liberă is, for the second consecutive month, the most frequently cited print publication, with 8 mentions. The second place is held by Ziarul Financiar, which recorded 7 mentions, while Forbes publication and Evenimentul Zilei share the third place, each with 6 mentions.
mediaTRUST classification also includes Libertatea (5 mentions), Adevărul (4), Click (4), Capital and Jurnalul Naţional, each with 3 mentions.
Realitatea Tv returns to the first place in the classification of the most frequently cited TV stations, with 35 mentions, followed by Antena 3, with 33 mentions. The surprise of the month of May is Sport.ro, which recorded 31 mentions, having thus outranked ProTV (29 mentions) and B1 TV (23 mentions).
România TV falls from the second place held in April, to the 6th, with 19 mentions, followed by Kanal D (14 mentions), Antena 1 and TVR 1, each with 6 mentions.
Europa FM leads the top of radio stations, with 6 mentions. Kiss FM, Radio ZU and Pro FM recorded one mention each.
Hotnews.ro also leads in the category of the most frequently cited on-line portals, with 48 mentions. Rtv.net is ranked second, with 33 mentions. Ziare.com is up to the third place, from the fifth place in the previous month, having recorded 21 mentions. Realitatea.net is ranked fourth, with 16 mentions, followed by libertatea.ro, Evz.ro and Wowbiz.ro, each with 8 mentions.
Ziarul Financiar and Capital.ro are the most frequently cited business publications, with 7 mentions. Money.ro and Forbes recorded 6 mentions, thus filling the second place in the classification, followed by Zf.ro with 4 mentions. Capital reorded 3 mentions. Other business publications present in the top are Money Channel (2 mentions) and Wallstreet.ro (2 mentions), Money Magazine and Business Magazin, each one with 1 mention.
The media products were cited in materials dealing with various topics such as internal politics, showbiz, sprts, economy, the legal system etc.
