Red Apple’s Grand Jury expands with 2 new jurors

Red Apple’s organizers announced that this year’s festival Grand Jury expanded with 2 new jurors, Veronique Sels and Roman Firainer.

Veronique Sels is International Creative Director at Publicis France and started her career in advertising as a copywriter, at 35 years old, after previously learning, teaching and performing contemporary dance. Her first agency was DDB Brussels, where she worked for clients such as VW, Audi, Fnac, Canal +, Lynx or Stella Artois.

She was named Best Copywriter in her country for 3  years and Creative of the Year in 2001. She joined TBWA/Paris in 2002 and worked on AIDES, SNCF, Zeiss, Amora, Playstation, McDonalds, la Poste, BNP Paribas. Later, in 2008, she joined Air Brussels, a small independant agency, as an Executive Creative Director. In less than two years, Air Brussels became one of the 3 most awarded agencies in Belgium. In 2009, she joined Publicis Group. Co-manager of Marcel in 2011. In less than 6 months, Marcel was named Agency of the World at Eurobest 2011.

Since 2012, she is International Creative Director at Publicis, leads AXA communication worldwide and awareness communication for Samu Social and WWF. She has already published 3 novels in France. Veronique Sels loves to write, to walk, to lurn, to eat, and more than everything – to breathe a fresh air.

In her portfolio there are more than fifty international awards including gold, silver and bronze at Cannes Lions, One Show, Andy’s, Clios, ADCNY, D&AD’s, Eurobest.

Roman Firainer is Creative Director Instinct (Russia). Born in December 1975, he’s married and has a daughter. As formation, he’s a programmer (MEPhI, programmer) and, in 1994, he started his carrier as designer for the publishing house Independent Media. In 1996, he joined Publicis Group as art-director and, 2 years later, joined TBWA’s team. He switched for BBDO Moscow in 2000 and, in 2003, he took the creative director helm at Instinct – agency, which didn’t fall below 5^th place in rating of creative agencies of Russia

Over the time, he worked with clients such as Alfa-Bank, IKEA, MEGA, Nike, InTouch, Dell, iRu, Wrigley, Pepsi, Beeline, Megafon or MTS ; his awards include trophies from London International Award, Epica, Golden Drum, Golden Hammer, MIAF, KIAF, White Square, Idea!
