Gabriela Lungu, appointed Chief Creative Officer UK & EMEA at Weber Shandwick
Gabriela Lungu was appointed Chief Creative Officer UK & EMEA within Weber Shandwick, as the company reshuffled its creative and consumer leadership in EMEA, HolmesReport informs.
Gabriela takes over her new position just 6 months after joining the company as EMEA consumer practice leader.
“As consumer practice leader for EMEA, Gabriela’s passion and objective right from the start has been to promote a culture of creativity (…) In her new role of chief creative officer, UK and EMEA, she will now be able to do this formally and for the entire agency.” said Weber Shandwick EMEA and UK CEO Colin Byrne, quoted by Holmes report.
Gabriela Lungu joined Weber Shandwick coming from Romanian The Practice, award-winning Romanian PR company that she founded in 2006. In January, right before joining Weber Shandwick, she announced that leaves The Practice, where she was Managing Partner & Creative, to head towards an international career.
After Lungu left, she was succeeded at the head of the agency by 2 Managing Directors, Oana Bulexa, previously Head of PR, and Monica Jitariuc, previously Head of Social Media.
What happened to The Practice under Gabriela’s leadership?
Under Gabriela’s management and creative leadership, The Practice evolved from a small just-opened agency in 2006 to the most awarded Romanian PR agency, winner of over 150 awards and nominations in local and international competitions, including the Agency of the Year title in 2009 & 2012 in Romania. The Practice also ranks 13th in the top of the most creative PR agencies in the world (according to The Holmes Report Creative Index 2012).
The agency is among the top 10 Romanian PR agencies in terms of financial results (+1.3 million euro in 2011) and has a strong portfolio of both international & local brands (including Avon, IKEA, Renault, SABMiller, Samsung, Starbucks or Unilever, to name just the ones best known internationally). The agency partners internationally with MSLGroup and locally with Leo Burnett group.

Does anyone still rely on Holmes Report? [deleted]
Holmes Report was the one to first publish the information in my article, hence the quotation as a source.
When it comes of the rest of the comment, it was deleted because it had nothing to do with the article or our editorial drive.
Thanks for the comment.
