Over 700 Romanians got inspired at TEDx Bucharest

5th edition of TEXxBucharest took place on Saturday and reunited, in Bucharest, over 700 Romanians that got inspired by 19 extraordinary moments shared by speakers and performers.

Simina Tanasescu, Dragos Dubina, George Popescu, Sabina Alistar, Moonlight Breakfest, Yana Buhrer Tavanier, Mircea Manolescu, Dorin Ștefan, Mihai Dumitrescu, Karina Holkekim, Berti Barbera, Paul Radu, Martin Harris, Lucian Despoiu, Silent Strike, Florin Georgescu, Ion Neculai, Alin Uhlmann Useriu and Grigore Lese took the stage at TEDxBucharest, each of them managing to inspire the public with their “Make it happen” stories.

His Excellency Martin Harris, UK ambassador in Bucharest, and former extreme sports practitioner Karina Kolkekim were extremely appreciated by the public and managed to impress with their speeches.

I am very happy that so many people were present to this year’s edition of TEDxBucharest and that this networking way becomes more and more appreciated. Speakers’ stories were really inspirational and even emotional. I think we managed to offer the participants a special experience and I hope soon TEDx conferences will become an event that must be attended to every year

An idea contest was organized during the event, where participants came up with their own suggestions of innovative “Make it happen” stories. The winner was Ana Maria Constantin and her proposal of classes for teachers when it comes managing the dyslexia problem. Next places were occupied by Florin Georgescu and Adelina Cristea.

The winning project will receive consultancy and were chosen from a total of 10 projects preselected by a jury of TEDx ambassadors.
