Romanian creativity, celebrated to the 7th edition of Run Project
Romanian creativity industry gathers together on June 17th, for Run Project, annual event where all Romanian entries to Cannes Lions are projected.
In 2015, Romania has 144 entries at Cannes Lions. In the top of the agencies with a consistent presence in the competition areGeometry Global, Leo Burnett, Publicis and McCann, each with over 20 entries. The representatives of the mentioned agencies, along with the gold winners from Cannes Lions Cyber will be present in a dialogue with the participants to Run Project.
The agencies’ top includes also new names of agencies / creative boutiques – including Supersomething, which are competing for the first time in Cannes, a sign that the Romanian creative industry has an interesting dynamic.
Also during Run Project, there will be announced the winning team of the national competitions of Cyber, Design, PR and Roger Hatchuel with Cannes as final objective and harmonized, as every year, by The Alternative School for Creative Thinking, the most awarded Creative MBA in Eastern Europe and the only name in the industry that brought Romanian Gold in Cannes during the last 2 years.
In 2015, Romanian industry showed it can distribute intelligently its entries, entering massively in categories from the series “Promo & Activation / Cyber or PR”, disciplines for which Cannes Lions Romania lobbied intensively.
In numbers, the presence in categories looks as it follows: 5 Film, 4 Press, 11 Outdoor, 15 Cyber, 26 Direct, 29 Media, 18 Promo&Activation, 4 Design, 20 PR, 8 Mobile, 3 Creative Effectiveness, 1 Branded Content.
Although the number of entries went down by 7 compared to previous year, the Romanian presence in Cannes, in terms of delegates, announces to be higher than ever. Representatives from clients, agencies and public officials will considerable raise the bar in terms of participation.
International competitions are difficult, but healthy. And exactly because it is that difficult to win, the presence in the international arena helps you to reset, to check the reference systems and discover if the compass indicating your creative North is functioning properly. It is a big thing for young and juniors, for clients and agencies alike, Cannes remains the ultimate standard. Until Cannes, we have Run, who announces itself to be an effervescent event

The participation fee for Run Project is Euro 50 for clients and agencies who didn’t enter works in Cannes competition. The money collected will be invested in educating a new generation of Romanian creatives, on The Alternative School for Creative Thinking’s platform.
