With over 12 years of experience in media as part of UM Romania (McCann Worldgroup Romania), Victor Croitoru was promoted and takes over as CEE Regional Strategy Director for IPG Mediabrands, media group with global presence in 127 countries and which owns the media agencies UM, Initiative and BPN.
My appointment on a regional position represents a validation of UM Romania’s expertise at regional level during the last few years. We are, for some time, close to the regional responsible for important accounts in UM’s portfolio and we managed to export successfully know-how outside the borders. The new position comes with new challenges and responsibilities for which I am prepared, considering the exposure I had within UM Romania, but is also a natural continuation for what I was already doing within UM Romania
Victor Croitoru.
As Regional Strategy Director, Victor will have a coordination and support role within Mediabrands for the agencies UM, Initiative and BPN, with focus on strategy, planning, creation and intellectual property for group’s clients in CEE.
I am extremely happy a new member from McCann Erickson Romania was promoted on a position with regional responsibilities. Victor’s appointment on a regional position comes shortly after Adrian Botan’s appointment as Global Executive Creative Director for Nestle brand. This only reconfirms the fact that McCann Erickson Romania is a center of excellence within the network. We are successfully working for regional clients, and they represent an important percentage from group’s revenues, we coordinate important projects for them, rewarded with international efficiency and creativity awards. I am proud of the results we have as a group, both locally and internationally, and, more than anything, I am proud of McCann Erickson Romania team
Sagit Tzur-Lahav,
CEO McCann Erickson Romania.
I am convinced that Victor will have a significant contribution to the development of group’s strategic standards in the region. Among the most important areas are expanding some recent international tools, already implemented by us. Also, he will have as a role to inspire an innovative spirit, perfectly anchored in digital, which brought UM Romania the recognition it has now both locally and internationally
Mihai Trandafir,
Managing Director UM Romania.
