TradeAds: Romanian internet users have low income and are interested in social networks
According to the second edition of the Romanian internet users’ profile realized by TradeAds, the number of internet users with smaller income than RON 1,000 increased during last year, while a third of them are attracted towards social networks and almost a tenth is interested on mobile internet.
Compared to March 2010, the net income per household decreased, 25,5% of the respondents saying that they have an income under RON 1,000.
According to TradeAds’ study, the most popular activity online for Romanian is using instant messaging services, search for information, reading online newspapers or magazine (over 40%) and using social networks (30%).
The study also says that women are looking for information for themselves and their workplace, while men are downloading movies and music and sell / buy different products.
Compared to last year, Romanians seem more interested in information related to education, sports, tech, art / culture/society and shopping.
To access the internet, Romanians are using desktop computers (63.6%), laptops and notebooks (39.3%) and mobiles, smartphones or PDAs (9%).
When it’s about online ads, 41% of Romanians say they get info from banners, 13,4% consider they help them choose products and 21,8% say banners have no effect on them, while 23,8% are annoyed by those
TradeAds study was made since January 10th to Jauary 27th and questioned 5,356 respondents.
