TBWA\Dublin creates a cheerful and lyrical ode for Ireland’s SuperValu
Following the recent launch of the new ‘All Things Considered’ platform for Ireland’s largest supermarket chain, SuperValu, creative agency, TBWA\Dublin, has followed up with a festive spot that encourages customers to ‘Consider Christmas’.
The new TV ad, a cheerful and lyrical spot, reflects the warm and familiar sentiments of the season. The 30-second TVC uses a festive interpretation of ‘Consider Yourself’ from the musical, Oliver! – itself a Christmas movie tradition! Throughout the spot, we see a montage of genuine customers from all walks of life and staff from stores around the country as they tell the story of the value of shopping at SuperValu and their experience of Christmas.
Tara Clifford, SuperValu Strategy Marketing Manager:
’All Things Considered’ as a platform stretches across every aspect of our business. It’s great that we can approach Christmas with charm and warmth, while still being true to what we stand for.
Paul Arthurs, Senior Art Director at TBWA\Dublin:
The Irish grocery market is a highly competitive one – even more so at Christmas. We wanted to create a spot that brings a sense of festive warmth, one that gives us an opportunity to talk to customers in a more relaxed way. The sheer number of people featured throughout the ad, while challenging, let us show just how varied Christmas is for different people – but what ties everyone together is value found at SuperValu.
The campaign launched Thursday 8th November. The TVC will be supported by cinema, radio, retail-focused executions, digital, VOD, and social media.
The TBWA\Dublin Group was established in Dublin in 1992. The driving vision in the early years was to challenge the conventions of the business and to lead the thinking within the industry. From the very beginning, the company earned a reputation for strategic insight and creative excellence. In 2002, the agency joined the TBWA\ network when it joined Omnicom. Today the TBWA\Dublin Group is a multi award winning full-service agency, which includes the TBWA\DAN Data Lab and the TBWA\Make production company.
