CNN might choose Piers Morgan to replace Larry King
CNN might choose British journalist Piers Morgan for a prime time show, possibly to replace Larry King, who’s show dropped 43% in audience in the first quarter compared to the same period of 2009.
According to New York Post, Morgan is a judge on NBC’s "America’s Got Talent" and of "Britain’s Got Talent" in UK and also a friend of Simon Cowell and of the former editor of Britain’s Daily Mirror.
From sources, NYP found out that he is now discussing a possible panel show at CNN, which has been battered by plunging ratings and is searching for a new identity.
CNN had a hard time lately, loosing Christiane Amanpour to ABC’s "This Week" and Gerri Willis to Fox Business Network.
Another possible new face on CNN might be, according to rumors, former New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer, that might appear in a talk show.
CNN didn’t make any comment related to these rumors.
