400 Bet Cafes in Romania from Bet Cafe Arena, owned by Dinu Patriciu
GTECH G2 started to install of a sports betting solution in Romania, as part of a planned roll-out of 400 Bet Café Arena retail outlets across the country, Gaming Intelligence wrote.
Bet Café Arena is owned by Dinu Patriciu, who plans to open Bet Arena Cafés alongside his Mic.ro food stores in Bucharest and throughout the country in a bid to dominate the Romanian sports betting market, estimated to be worth more than €200 million annually.
G2 will provide Bet Café Arena retail outlets with a full range of sports betting solutions and services including the MarginMaker platform, World TILL EPoS, STOS Display solution platform and professional services including sports betting operations, odds compilation and risk management as well as marketing support.
The sports betting offering will be focused primarily on football but will also include major European and North American sports and will benefit from G2’s live in-play betting. The network is expected to number 400 retail outlets by the end of 2012 and will be managed by Bet Café Arena’s management team.
