UPDATED: An online app helps planting real trees

The online greeting cards aren’t anymore just a simple polite gesture, as Andrei’s Country – a CSR program developed by Petrom – transforms in real trees, really influencing and helping the environment.
From March 1st to March 8th, Andrei’s Country is offering Romanian women the “greenest” greeting cards. Also, the online turns into offline, as for every greeting card send there will be planted a tree
Andrei’s Coutry prepared for all responsible people online greetings that will be transformed in real trees. This way, if one wants to send a spring greeting to your mum, lover or girl friend, one can access a Facebook apps, Copacul cu martisoare, and send a greeting from there. For each greeting sent, a tree will be planted at the 1st action Andrei’s Country will run this year, remaking this way Romanian forests.
The online greetings are available for sending from March 1st to March 8th, Romanian women having, this way, the chance of receiving the greenest greetings.
Each online greeting sent via Petrom’s Facebook app, will translate, offline, in a tree that will be planted this spring. In 3 days from the launch, the app gathered over 1,400 trees, that will be planted in the next couple months.
Tara lui Andrei is the 1st social responsibility program that allows an unlimited number of people to interact, communicate, inform and really change the world they are living in.
The program (Tara lui Andrei) is part of Petrom’s CSR platform, developed under the slogan “Respect for the future” and initiated in 2007.
