LinkedIn – over 100M professionals in the network

LinkedIn crossed the milestone of 100M professionals in its network, almost 8 years after the company was officially launched, in May 2003.

According to Mashable.com, LinkedIn needed six years to reach 50 million users and a year and a half to double that number.

Most of LinkedIn’s users (56%) are from outside US, the fastest growing being Brazil (+428%), followed by Mexico, India and France.
