23red wins communications brief for the Open University
Purpose driven creative agency, 23red is celebrating the first anniversary of its PR division by winning a competitive pitch for the Open University’s 2021 marketing and communications strategy. The brief will see 23red help integrate the Open University’s B2B and B2C communications to attract more students and employer partners.
The flexible and responsive marketing and communications strategy will target all four nations in the UK and showcase the Open University’s credentials as the pioneer of flexible and blended online learning.
Ceri Rose, director of marketing and communications at the Open University, said: “The pandemic has transformed the education landscape so we’re looking forward to working with 23red to help the OU spearhead the learning revolution and bring opportunity to everyone. PR and social are the beating heart of our multi-channel campaign plans and 23red’s highly collaborative and strategic approach combined with their strong passion for our brand make them the perfect partner.”
Jody Hall, PR Partner, 23red said
“As a world leading expert for online learning, the Open University opened up degree-level learning for generations of people unable to follow the more traditional routes to university.
“We are working with the OU during a time when their social mission is more relevant than ever before to help change lives and open up education for all.
We are passionate about helping the OU inspire a new swathe of learners to realise their ambition by bringing our unique blend of behaviour change expertise and social impact measurement to address these varied and important social issues in a Covid world.”
Jody Hall launched the 23red PR division in February 2020 just before the UK went into lockdown and despite the challenges of remote working has managed to build a talented team and delivered award-winning campaigns for the likes of Defra. The PR division enhances and builds on 23red’s storied history of purpose-led behavioural change creative campaigns for clients including Network Rail, NHS Blood and Transplant and Public Health England.
