Sergiu Negut
I believe the future of retail is one in which clients’ experience will be 100% customized via tech
The segment of buyers targeted at the moment by the platform consists in women clients and those who used The Outfit until now are busy people that wish to stay in style but do not have time to look for products online or in malls.
Horia Stupu, co-founder
We want to bring the store cabin to our clients home and to rethink the way they discover clothes and accessories: 100% customized, without any effort and without money blocked in products that need to be returned. We have noticed that 10% of our clients never ordered clothes online before.
A client can fill in an online profile, answer a few questions about their body, style and preferred budget and receives, afterwards, a set consisting in 5 clothing accessories chosen by one of The Outfit stylists. The client has 3 days to try the clothes and pays only for what she keeps, returning for free the rest of the items.
Before payment, she will go through a feedback process for each tried item so the algorithms and stylists can learn and recommend more suited products for the next orders.
The Outfit collects over 100 data from each client in order to understand as good as possible her preferences. They develop an internal recommendation system that uses the collected data from clients profiles, the feedback they provide and products specifications in order to help the stylists to recommend most accurate the products in terms of fit and style.
Serban Buliga, co-founder
In order to make personal styling accessible and scalable, we have to develop the tech for all business’ areas, though the biggest effort goes towards developing algorithms to cover the mathematical component in fashion. This way, the fashion styling team will be able to focus on the creative component, interpreting the consumption moment and certain specific preferences of a client.
Ciprian Dudulea, co-founder
We want to know the entire wardrobe of our clients and to be a one-stop-shop for fashion. We are already considering developing an app for recurring clients, where they constantly receive recommendations for products that match their existent clothes selection and their preferences
The Outfit aims to deliver over 10,000 orders this year and, in the end of the year, aims to prepare for a new financing round.
