Romanian PR Award readies for 19th edition
Romanian PR Award is preparing for its 19th edition and has the entry period open until October 1st, with the awards gala scheduled for the end of November
The 19th edition of the event will bring in focus the importance of evaluation systems in practicing PR and invites the applicants to give an increased importance to measuring standards. To support the theme of this edition, the organizers will generate via PR Romania portal a series of resources and recommendations to contribute to the gradual adoption of an evaluation inventory relevant for the local market’s level.
Dana Oancea, president Forum for International Communication:
Who wants to understand what is the core of the challenges PR industry is facing will reach, without doubt, to the evaluation part, which advances slowly and unsatisfyingly. During the last few years, PR industry made considerable efforts at international level to correlate the value of PR with the value of the business, but one cannot yet say this is a standardized practice. The preeminence of the absolute measurements and the usage of Advertising Equivalent Value keep marginalizing the PR function compared to other business functions and the slow progresses in showing the impact of PR activities represent yet another barrier in professionalizing the domain.
Competition has a jury reuniting specialists from 10 countries and consists in communication directors from Romanian and international companies and executives from local PR agencies, independent consultants, representatives of the academic environment and from different professional organizations.
Entries are accepted until October 1st and one can submit projects from the last 2 years. The awards gala is scheduled to take place virtually or in hybrid format on November 25th. „PR Innovator of the Year” is offered by Telekom România, while Raiffeisen Bank will present „Best of PR Measurement & Evaluation”.
Romanian PR Award is supported by Telekom Romania, main partner, parteners Raiffeisen Bank, Ursus Breweries, Coca Cola HBC, MedLife, Penny, Banca Transilvania and KFC and media (Revista Cariere, PR Romania, IAA, IQADS, AdHugger, CSR Romania and Zelist)
