Golin Romania announced the appointment of Cristina Butunoi as Executive Director. After more than 13 years spent in the Golin team, including the last three in management, Roxana Dibă ends her tenure. Hortensia Năstase will continue to be part of the agency’s management process as Vice President of Creative Services Lowe Group. Additionally, the agency establishes the Golin Advisory Committee (GAC), a consultancy structure whose role is to provide analysis and critical thinking for the agency’s strategy, product, and team development. The changes will be effective starting from April.

“The new Golin management team is a reflection of the emphasis our group has placed for over 30 years on promoting talent and supporting innovative individuals. Cristina is a professional with vast experience, a mentor to colleagues, a trusted advisor to clients, and a valuable partner for our group. I wish her every success in the new role and I am confident that, alongside the entire team, she will uphold the agency’s name at the top of the industry and synonymous with performance. I thank Roxana for her impressive journey within the agency, a demonstration of Golin’s strongest assets: inexhaustible ambition and the power of a united team”, says Sever Savanciuc, CEO Lowe Group.

With over 20 years of experience in corporate and brand communication, as well as public communication and the non-profit sector, Cristina has just successfully completed a three-year term as Deputy Managing Director at Golin. Throughout her career, she has coordinated award-winning campaigns at major local and international festivals, contributing to the strategic development of brands in industries such as energy, banking, industry, retail, real estate, IT, pharmaceuticals, and FMCG. As a member of the Board of Directors of the IAA, Cristina represents the interests of clients and agencies in this important industry forum.

“I already have a strong connection with Golin on many levels, spanning from our exceptional team to the long-term partnerships we’ve forged with most of our clients. I eagerly anticipate the new chapter ahead and have full confidence that there will be campaigns that will not go unnoticed. It is an exciting time for our industry, with a lot of trends that will influence communication in 2024: from AI to Deep Fake, from elections in 64 countries to various post-pandemic questions still seeking answers. Golin’s positioning at the intersection of earned-first and cultural-relevance remains a primary driver in this context”, declares Cristina Butunoi, Executive Director Golin.

Golin Romania is strengthening its management team with the creation of the Golin Advisory Committee (GAC), a consultancy structure formed alongside three of the agency’s leaders: Marina Constanda, Head of Unit, Ioana Munteanu, Creative Director, and Ruxandra Simion, Head of Unit. Through performance, innovation, and creativity, these three seniors have significantly contributed to the agency’s development. As members of the Golin Advisory Committee (GAC), they will provide analysis and consultancy to make beneficial decisions for the agency across all areas: product innovation, team development programs, process improvement, reputation and industry leadership, social impact, new division development.

“Golin has always been a school of values, a talent incubator, and a trendsetter. Roxana’s journey from intern to management is proof of this positioning, and I thank her for how much we’ve learned from each other over the years. Our main differentiator has always been the strength of the team, derived from the value and diversity of its members. We are fortunate to work with Cristina, to be inspired by her passion and strength, and I am confident that she will continue to be a champion of Golin’s values and spirit. And through the establishment of the Golin Advisory Committee (GAC), we ensure that we will continue to provide the best development platform for our colleagues and the best specialized consultancy for our clients”, says Hortensia Năstase, Vice President Creative Services Lowe Group.
