Oxygen appointed, for the third time in a row, the PR & internal communication agency for PPC
Oxygen was appointed, following a complex selection process, the PR and internal communication agency of the Romanian companies of the PPC group, a regional leader in the field of energy and one of the most dynamic energy companies in South-Eastern Europe.
Oxygen has been collaborating with PPC Romania (formerly Enel Romania) for over six years, and this is the third consecutive PR pitch won for the companies owned by the group. Throughout the partnership, the agency supported the local team at key moments such as the liberalization of the energy market and the energy price crisis. Oxygen also played a key role in supporting communication efforts during the transition process leading to the completion of PPC’s acquisition of the Enel companies in Romania.
This new achievement confirms Oxygen’s expertise in energy communication management and its commitment to delivering effective communication strategies in an ever-evolving sector.
Oxygen will continue to offer integrated communications services, including public relations consulting, media relations, crisis communications, internal communications, influencer marketing, event management and media partnerships for PPC.
“We are honored to have a long-term partnership with PPC and the local team. Winning this pitch for the third time in a row and for the first time with PPC is a big moment for Oxygen. It reflects our team’s ability to adapt strategically and develop trusted relationships. We are proud to support the growth and transformation of PPC in Romania, helping to strengthen their leadership position in the field of energy transition. The company’s goals in the coming years are ambitious and motivate us, as communication partners, to take an active part in the change we want to see in the world,” said Veronica Plăcintescu, Head of PR Oxygen.
“PPC has an integrated activity on the energy market in Romania, from electricity production, to distribution and supply to final customers, so our communication needs, both external and internal, are complex. The energy transition may seem like an abstract concept, but we already see it in all our activities, in the ways our customers consume energy or even produce their own energy. That’s why we need a communication partner with expertise not only in PR but also in the energy field. The Oxygen team has the ability to understand the complex challenges of the energy market and we are confident that together we will continue to strengthen PPC’s reputation in Romania,” said Sergiu Ion, Head of Media Relations PPC Romania.
PPC is the most important company on the energy market in South-East Europe, with activities in the production and distribution of electricity, as well as the sale of advanced energy products and services in Greece, Romania and North Macedonia. With a total installed capacity of 11.5 GW and serving more than 8.8 million customers, PPC is a regional leader in both conventional and renewable energy generation.
