Romanian media brand, brought on auction
Romanian media brand Academia Catavencu was brought following a second auction that was won by a Romania Libera’s representative. The amount paid for the brand was of around Euro 1M (more exactly Euro 882,654), according to Paginademedia.ro.
After a auction that lasted 9 minutes, Dan Grigore Adamescu became the owner of Academia Cațavencu, according to the same source.
The fight in auction was between Adamescu, represented by an attorney, and Orlando Nicoara, Mediafax Group’s director.
Adamescu was at the 2nd try of buying the media brand, after the 1st time he was surpassed by Doru Bușcu, editorial director of the magazine, that offered Euro 1.6M for the brand.
Following the auction, Paginademedia.ro writes that Academia Catavencu’s team will be taken over by the new owner, Dan Grigore Adamescu.
Academia Catavencu will continue to appear on the market normally, with the same team.
