Alexandra Olaru, the new president of IAA – Romanian chapter

Starting today, IAA Romania has a new management board, headed by Alexandra Olaru

Following the general assembly that took place on Wednesday, the associations’ members designated, through secret vote, a new management for the next 2 years

Alexandra Olaru was elected IAA president, while Felix Tataru, former association president, is the new general secretary of IAA Romania

The new management board of IAA Romania consists of :

  • President: Alexandra Olaru (Mc Donald’s)
  • Vice President: Sagit Tzur-Lahav (McCann Erickson)
  • General Secretary: Felix Tătaru (GMP Advertising)
  • Tresury: Afrodita Blasius (Bridge Communication)
  • Program directors:
    • Nicolae Damu (ProTV)
    • Paul Marcovits (Heineken România)
    • Manuela Necula (Ogilvy Group)
    • Dan Petre (D&D Research)
    • Teodora Popescu Birlan (P&G)
    • Claudiu Serban (Evenimentul Zilei and Capital printing house)
    • Stefan Teodorescu (Ursus Breweries)

We must continue the core projects of IAA, the projects related to education and the future of the industry: IAA School (…), the Excellence Awards, Effie Awards and Young Professionals. We must become again the most powerful lobby instrument of Romanian communication industry, because we have a lot of subjects that are waiting for us and I think we must look over the Romanian legislator. We must learn to work with European institutions, because we are a very important association. And I think there are a lot of places where we can reinvent ourselves
