BBC Worldwide reports profit in spite of the economical crisis

BBC Trust published the its Annual Report that shows that BBC Worldwide increased sales year-on-year by 7%, to 145m pounds, as it expanded in new business areas.

The licence fee income has grown to 85m pounds after the increase of the licence.

On the other hand, other income is up by 177m pounds, to 1,344m pounds, due primarily to BBC Worldwide growth. Also, BBC’s profits surged 36% year on year to a record £145.2m.
